Venus Envy #1- Alex or Zoe: From A to Z
Reviewed by: ~Jen~ on 11/19/03
This Comic/Magazine is just great. I'm a big fan of the webcomic version of Venus Envy and this was just Wow. It has a great combination
of Comedy, Drama and other interesting stuff. From page 1 to 20 are reprints of strips from the VE website. The drawing style
is somewhat crude but the story is great. I took the Comic/Magazine with me to school and I let my friend Tanisha read it.
She really seemed yo like it. I think it opened her mind a little more. Which is a good thing. Also I think just help make
another VE addict. Moving on....
From page 21 to 29 is a mini-series called Venus Envy - Zero Hour that is exclusively found in the Comic/Magazine. Zero Hour
is a prologue to the main VE story (/ pages 1 to 20 of the Comic/Magazine). Also in the mini-series you can see the big
improvement in how the comic is drawn in complacent to the earlier strips. I must move on again. I don't want to give
too much away.
Also in the Comic/Magazine is a rant from the crazy, but talented artist Erin Lindsey, the copyrighting info with an amusing
twist, an article about how to be a Wecomic Artist in Six Easy Steps (which is very fascinating) and finally there's an advice
column by no other than Erin (the artist)'s Evil Mutan Spider-Clone named Erin 2.0. My favorite part (besides the comic) was
the advice column. It's just so funny. Just thinking about it is making me start to laugh.
I'm so glad that I got it. It's the best $4.00 that I have ever spent (and can think of off hand). Also because I pro-ordered
my Venus Envy Comic/Magazine, I got it sighed by the wonderful artist Erin Lindsey her self. Yay. ^_^ It was so worth the
wait. The only thing I didn't like is the fact there's a tier mark on the envelope the Comic/Magazine came in. Oh well.
Overall I give Venus Envy #1- Alex or Zoe: From A to Z, 10 out of 10.
